Chillin' in Big Bear
Hey all. I'm sitting in the Big Bear Lake Hostel, going to spend a couple nights here. Been pushing north at a pretty decent pace. Got off the trail at mile 265 most of the days have been 20+ miles a day. Not much has happened in the last nine days. The trail climbed to 9000' and in a 24 mile day it went from 8500' to 1000'. The next couple days the trail re-climbed to 8600'.
Tomorrow will be a nice relaxing day. A group of us will be heading to see the new Star Trek. And hope fully my feet will learn to adjust to 4+ days of 20+ miles. I have taken around 1300 photos so far. I will work on getting some up in the next few days.
The trail is awesome the people are awesome, it has been a blast even with the hiccups. Hope all is well with everyone.
Enjoy

Hey Damon -
Glad to hear all is going well and you are enjoying the adventure.
I'm happy to know that your priorities are well aligned... taking out a moment for the Star Trek movie. Did you like it?
Keep posting! A. Carolyn
Hey Man,
Great to hear from you this past stop. How was the movie? Kirsten and I will be in Tucson soon. We might try to head to the Reef of Rocks again soon.
I got part of the GPS issue figured out, but have a few questions for you about the solution. I think I have it diagnosed pretty well.
Hope your turn westward goes well!
Justin
Hey Damon,
Sounds spectacular. I'm glad things are going well. Happy trails! And also, I hope Big Bear involves no actual big bears.
